They cultivate water chestnut in a completely flat field. Only one foot of water is filled in the field. Raise the ridge of the field a little higher. Water chestnut is transplanted in the second week of June. By last week of September the fruits begin to appear. They say that by cultivating water chestnut in the field, good water chestnut grows. The reason for this is that they use tube well water. Good quality water chestnut also fetches good price in the market.
