Compressor Spray Pump: Innovative invention of Jaipur farmer
Cost cut by 10 times, percentage of savings increased by use of Compressor Spray Pump
Nayan Pal is a resident of Amer Tehsil of Jaipur. It is said that necessity is the mother of invention, so just seeing the need of his fellow farmers, Nayan Pal started on his mission. He made a tractor driven compressor spray pump.Â
Compressor Spray PumpÂ
Spraying pesticides or fertilizers in the fields takes both labour and cost. Money has to be spent on workers and it takes hours to spray. Apart from this, using chemical-containing insecticides and fertilizers by hand is also harmful for health. Keeping all these things in mind, Nayan Pal, a resident of Jaipur in Rajasthan, solved all these problems of the farmers of his area. It is said that necessity is the mother of invention, so just seeing the need of his fellow farmers, Nayan Pal started on his mission. Nayan Pal developed a tractor driven compressor spray pump. Nayan Pal had a special conversation with Kisan of India about this invention.Â
Nayan Pal is a resident of Amer Tehsil of Jaipur. They say that workers are not easily available in their area. Whatever they get, they ask for a higher price. This increases the pressure on the pocket. In such a situation, he made a tractor driven compressor spray pump to reduce the expenditure on the workers. In 2003, his model was ready.Â
What is its speciality?
Nayan Pal explains that one-time labour cost in one hectare area falls between 1000 to 1500 rupees. Compressor spray pump can spray one hectare area in one to one and half hour. This machine is capable of spraying 500 litres of water at a time.
How does this machine work?
This machine is attached to the tractor. Then this machine is operated only with the help of tractor engine. One hectare of area consumes 1 litre of fuel. A 100 meter pipe is attached to this machine. A spray gun is mounted on this pipe. With the help of this spray gun, you can easily spray up to a distance of 30 to 40 feet. Only one person can operate this machine comfortably.Â
10 times cost reductionÂ
Nayan Pal further explains that the cultivation of vegetables is the highest in his area. Earlier it used to take 7 to 10 labourers to spray an area of one hectare. 7 to 8 hours used to pass. Now the spraying work is completed in one to one and a half hours. He says that in this way the expenditure on his cost was reduced by 10 times.Â
What are sprayer pumps?Â
There is always danger of pest-diseases on crops. The crop is destroyed due to infestation of pests and diseases. Weeds also harm plant growth. A variety of insecticides are used to control pests, diseases and weeds. These insecticides/fertilizers are sprayed on the crop with the help of sprayer pump.Â
