Aneshwar Kumar Verma, who lives in Pargaonkhurd village of Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh, has presented an example of new thinking and technology in the agriculture sector. Born in 1987, Aneshwar has equipped his farming with new machines, organic methods, and water conservation measures, which not only gave him good yield but also received many national and international awards.

Use of new technologies in agriculture

Aneshwar Verma’s agricultural model is mainly based on four major technologies:

1. Manufacture of agricultural equipment: He manufactured small agricultural equipment and sound machines, which are helpful in reducing the cost of farming and reducing hard work in the fields. Other farmers have also been inspired by his initiative and started using these machines.

2. Jeevamrit and De-composer Filter Machine: The organic fertilizer and de-composer filter machine developed by Aneshwar gave farmers the opportunity to use natural resources in the right way. These tools are helpful in organic farming and try to free farmers from dependence on chemical fertilizers.

3. Organic Manure (PROM): Phosphorous Rich Organic Manure (PROM) made by Aneshwar is a special type of organic manure, which increases soil fertility and protects the land from the harmful effects of chemical fertilizers.

4. Rainwater Conservation: He has implemented rainwater conservation measures in his farm. He has presented an excellent example of water harvesting by constructing small ponds under the MNREGA scheme, which ensures adequate water supply for irrigation even during dry periods.

Success in organic farming and inspiration for farmers

Aneshwar Verma has not only reduced his crop production cost by adopting organic farming but has also maintained the fertility of his land. His farming model is based on organic manures and natural fertilizers, including vermi-compost, Jeevamrit, organic pesticides, and organic DAP made from rock phosphate. By using these elements, the balance of nutrients in the soil is maintained and the land can be saved from the side effects of chemical fertilizers.

Aneshwar believes that organic farming methods give long-term benefits to the land and are also helpful in keeping it pollution-free. The use of vermi-compost provides essential nutrients to the crops and also effectively utilizes the waste from farming. The use of Jeevamrit, which is made from cow dung, cow urine, and other organic elements, increases the disease resistance of plants and strengthens the crops. Organic pesticides control harmful insects and eliminate the need for chemical pesticides, which also causes less harm to the environment.

Inspiration for many farmers

Aneshwar’s organic farming model has become a source of inspiration for many farmers today. He has inspired many farmers towards organic farming by sharing his experiences and techniques. Due to his efforts, many farmers in the village and surrounding areas are now using organic manure and fertilizers and reducing their dependence on chemical fertilizers. The organic farming methods adopted by Aneshwar have reduced the crop cost of the farmers as well as improved the quality of the produce.

The widespread impact of Aneshwar’s efforts is now visible outside his village. His success in organic farming and his technological innovations have earned him recognition not only in the region, but also at the state and national level. Today he is known as an inspiration among farmers, who is creating a new awareness towards organic farming. His journey inspires other farmers towards a sustainable, profitable, and eco-sensitive farming, which paves the way to move in a new direction by moving away from traditional methods of farming.

Aneshwar’s achievements have earned him several awards at the state and national level, including:

• Dr. Khubchand Baghel Krishak Ratna Award
