Apart from traditional crops like paddy, wheat, mustard and gram, they are also successfully planting horticultural crops like amla, mango, sweet lime and jackfruit. Apart from this, vegetables like potato, black potato, red cabbage, broccoli, capsicum and tomato are also grown.

Ram Gopal Singh Chandel has also started cultivating medicinal plants like Brahmi, Moringa using new technology in farming. He has planted eucalyptus and teak trees in his fields by adopting agro-forestry method. His 2 hectare farm is organic certified, certified by Uttar Pradesh State Organic Certification Institute (UPSOCA).

For nutrient management in natural farming, he uses Beejamrit, Jeevamrit and Ghanjeevamrit, which help in maintaining soil fertility. Through this FPO, Ram Gopal Singh Chandel is informing the farmers about new technology in agriculture by organizing seminars with the help of scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK).

Ram Gopal Singh Chandel’s agricultural efforts have been appreciated on various platforms. In 2018, he was featured in the Krishi Darshan program of Doordarshan Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, he received the Kisan Samman Award in Rae Bareli on Kisan Samman Diwas. He received the Best Farmer Award in Rae Bareli during the Virat Kisan Mela.

His work got even more recognition when the Vice-Chancellor of Rajasthan Agricultural University honoured him during the Farmers First/Mera Gaon Mera Gaurav program. Along with this, he was also honoured by DDM, NABARD, Rae Bareli for the formation of FPO.
