Santosh Kumar Singh, a resident of Tarem village in Ambedkar Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, is bringing a new revolution in agriculture through organic and natural farming. Born on 4 November 1972, Santosh has made farming not only economically beneficial with his hard work and dedication, but has also made it inspirational for the society. His progressive initiatives in organic farming and the model of nutrition garden are being appreciated in the entire region.

Construction of nutrition garden

– Santosh Kumar Singh has built a nutrition garden on 1 acre of land.

– Crops and fruits grown in his nutrition garden:

– Fruits: Banana, Papaya, Mango, Guava, Orange, Wood Apple, Dragon Fruit, Jamun, Amla, Apple, Litchi.

– Vegetables: Jimikand, Arbi, Bitter Gourd, Bottle Gourd, Cucumber, Lobia.

– Other Plants: Kapuri Tulsi, Drumstick, Marigold.

Fish Farming and Pearl Production

– Freshwater Fish Farming and Pearl Production:

– Santosh does pearl production along with fish farming in one acre of his farm.

– This is not only a big source of his income but also a unique agricultural experiment.

Organic Fertilizer and Pesticides

– The use of chemicals in farming is completely stopped.

– Use of 70 trolleys of rotten cow dung manure and Jeevamrit.

– His farming is completely organic and socially recognized.
