Sumit Dagar, a resident of Malikpur village in South West district of Delhi, is a farmer who left traditional farming and adopted organic farming and natural farming and gave it a new identity not only in his village but also internationally. Born on 13 July 1989, Sumit left his job as a teacher and took training in organic farming in 2020 and entered this field with the aim of “poison free farmer-pride of the country”.
Sumit not only adopted organic farming but also created a successful model of “farm to table” to establish direct contact between farmers and consumers. Through his website dhaamorganic.com, he is providing organic products to more than 1500 consumers.
Journey of Organic Farming
Sumit Dagar started organic farming on 14 acres of land, where he uses natural products like Jeevamrit, Beejamrit, Dhanjeevamrit, and natural pesticides. No chemical fertilizers or pesticides are used in his farming.
He believes that organic farming is not only beneficial for the environment, but it also maintains human health and fertility of the land. He organizes “Poison Free Farmers” program every year, in which farmers from all over the country come and learn organic farming techniques.
Sumit has expanded his farming locally and internationally. His produce, such as millets, barley, vegetables, and coarse grains, are popular not only in India but also in countries like Japan, US, and Singapore.

Sumit Dagar’s biggest innovation is his “Farm to Table” initiative. Under this model, he delivers the produce from his farms directly to the consumers. Consumers can directly purchase organic products through his website.
