These technologies were developed by Dr. T.R. Taluri and his team. After this, he set up a state-of-the-art lab in Yelahanka, Bengaluru. In this, technical help was taken from ICAR-NRCE for collecting semen from horses and cryopreservation. He successfully froze the semen of more than 1000 horses and also inseminated mares with frozen and chilled semen during training. Cryopreservation is a technique in which cells and tissues are inactivated and preserved for years at extremely low temperatures.
