2. Kufri Chandramukhi

The stem of this variety of potato plants is green with reddish-brown spots. It takes 80 to 90 days to get ready for the crop. Its yield per hectare is 200 to 250 quintals. The plains and plateau areas of North India are suitable for its cultivation.

3. Kufri Ganga

This variety of potatoes gives a high yield in less time. Its yield per hectare is 250 to 300 quintals. Its crop is ready in 75 to 80 days, and the plains of North India are good for its cultivation.

4. Kufri Neelkanth

Rich in antioxidants, this is one of the best varieties of potatoes that can tolerate extreme cold weather. Its production capacity is more than other varieties, and the crop is ready in 90 to 100 days. This potato is also delicious. Its production capacity per hectare is 350-400 quintals. This variety is good for the plains of North India.

5. Kufri Jyoti

It is among the best varieties of potatoes. This variety is suitable for hilly, plain, and plateau areas. Moreover, its crop gets ready after ripening in 80 to 150 days. The crop is ready early in the plains. Its yield per hectare ranges from 150 to 250 quintals.

6. Kufri Sindhuri

Potato is also an improved variety of potato which can tolerate even frost. It can be cultivated in plains and hilly areas. The crop gets ready early in the plains as compared to hilly areas. This variety is ready in 120 to 125 days and yields 300 to 400 quintals per hectare.

7. Kufri Deva

This variety is suitable for both plain and hilly areas. It is well cultivated in the terai region and intermediate plains of Uttar Pradesh. This type of crop gets ready in 120 to 125 days and yields 300 to 400 quintals per hectare.

8. Kufri Lalima

This is also an advanced variety of potato giving high yield in less time, which is ready in 90 to 100 days. Its yield per hectare is 200-250 quintals. This variety is good for the plains of North India.

9. Kufri Swarna

The hilly areas of South India are good for the production of this variety of potato. Its crop gets ready in about 110 days and yields 300 quintals per hectare. Also, this variety of potato spoils faster than others.

10. Kufri Bahar

This variety is good for the plains of northern India. It is ready in 90 to 110 days and there are some varieties which are ready in 100 to 135 days. Its yield is about 200-250 quintals per hectare.

A temperature of 15 to 25 degree Celsius is considered ideal for potato cultivation. Its seeds require a temperature of 25 degree Celsius to germinate.
