Farmers Producer Organization (FPO) and cooperatives developed Kisan Rath mobile app so that agricultural products can be easily transported from farmers’ fields to markets. Using this app farmers will be able to hire trucks or tractors for transport of crops.
Farmers and traders across the country can take advantage of Kisan Rath mobile app. After downloading from Google Play Store, merchants will have to register by entering their mobile number in addition to their company name.
Farmers can sell fruits and vegetables anywhere
With the help of this app developed by National Informatics Center (NIC), farmers and traders can easily buy and sell crops. With the help of this, the traders get to know about the agricultural products available in their area and they can arrange trucks to lift the agricultural products which can be shipped by the farmers from their fields.
The app will also provide information about the time and place of the truck’s arrival, after which farmers will be able to sell crops, fruits and vegetables at the time and place as per their convenience.
Transporters can also register their vehicle for carrying goods through Kisan Rath mobile app. Apart from this, the farmer can see the complete details of his crop. On this app you can also book machinery for other farming needs through Custom Hiring Center.
5 lakh trucks registered so far
So far 5 lakh trucks and 20,000 tractors have been connected on this app across the country. Through this app, farmers and traders get information about trucks, tractors or other goods vehicles according to their need.
