Education and beginning of career
Shyam Sundar Sharma received his early education in Didwana village. After this, he did PG and then worked as a Public Development Officer in Life Insurance Corporation of India. He joined a government job in 2010, but he always had a dream in his heart to do something for his village and farming. In 2018, he left his job and started agriculture on his ancestral land.
Ancestral land and farming journey
Shyam Sundar Sharma’s ancestral land is still present in Didwana, where he has mango and jackfruit orchards. After working on this land, he bought 20 bighas of land separately and started farming. He adopted organic and natural methods, which led to a continuous increase in the quality and production of his farming.
He started with the production of pomegranate, but with time he started growing about 28 types of vegetables. His garden also has papaya, lemon, and pomegranate trees. Apart from this, he also produced crops like wheat, gram, millet, maize, sesame, mustachioed, guar in his fields.
Dairy Farm and Other Activities
Shyam Sundar Sharma did not only venture into the agriculture sector but also ventured into dairy farming. He also has rearing of cows and goats. This not only increased his income but also ensured that organic manure is available in his fields all the time. This effort of his further strengthens the model of organic farming.
