Pantnagar Kisan Mela 2022

The Pantnagar Kisan Mela 2022 will be inaugurated on October 14 at 11 am at Gandhi Hall on the University campus. With the inauguration, exhibitions of fruits, flowers, vegetables and other agricultural products started in the Krishi Mela premises.

Various competitions have also been organized during the Krishi Mela to promote the spirit of healthy competition among the growers and to increase the interest of the participants as well as the visitors.

On the second day of Pantnagar Krishi Mela, on 15th October at 2 pm, the hybrid calfs will be auctioned by the academic dairy farm Nagla. In recent years, a lot of research has been done on hybrid breeds of indigenous cows, so that more milch species can be made available to the cattle breeders. People leave the cows in the open due to inflation of animal feed and low milk or no milk. In such a situation, information related to animal husbandry in the agriculture fair being organized in Govind Ballabh Pant can be beneficial for the cattle owners coming from far and wide.

Animal exhibition will be organized by the College of Veterinary and Animal Science on October 16 from 10 am. In this, apart from the exhibition of cow and buffalo, a session of animal competition has also been kept. Animal owners will be able to get information about different breeds of cow and buffalo in this exhibition.
